Mandatory from the 1st April 2006 |
As from the 1st April 2006 the new harmonised colour coding for Insulation tapes will become mandatory. All insulation tape should meet BS EN 60454-Flame Retardant-Self Extinguishing-Non Corrosive Adhesive-Water & UV Resistant and available Printed L1,L2,L3 N and in colours.
Whenever you are working on electrical installations, ensure you are using BS EN 60454 approved electrical insulation tape. This is your guarantee of a flame retardant tape, self extinguishing tape. |
